Kingwood CLC - LBHF - LGfL Web-filtering Request Form
LGfL Web-filtering Policy
The LGfL default web-filtering policy has been chosen to restrict maximum inappropriate content. The LGfL default policy denies the following categories: Adware, Criminal Skills, Extreme, Gambling, Games, Hate Speech, Humour, Match Making, Network Unavailable, New URL, Occult, Pornography, Proxy Anonymizer, Safe Search, Search Keywords, Substance Abuse, Web Chat, Web E-mail.
For further information regarding LGfL filtering policy can be found here: LGfL Statement on Whole-Site Blocking.
The way websites are filtered can mean that some sites that contain legitimate educational content may also be blocked. In such situations a request can be made through Kingwood CLC for specific websites to be unblocked.
Unblocking a Specified URL
This form allows you to register a request to have a specified URL or domain name removed from the list of web-sites currently blocked by the LGfL filtering system.
The request is passed automatically to the CLC Technical Lead who will review the contents of the Web page(s) to confirm that they do not contravene the LGfL Acceptable Use Policy and then initiate the removal of the URL from the list of blocked websites for your school.
Kingwood CLC reserves the right to refuse to unblock websites that are not intended for educational use within school.
Your request may take a day or so to take effect.
Unblock URL Request Form
I wish the following URL(s) or domain name(s) to be removed from the list of blocked web-sites for our school. I have read and understood the LGfL Acceptable Use Policy and to the best of my knowledge I believe the specified URL does not contravene them.
